PACS Client operations


Operations are the actions allowed by a permission. When creating a permission, you can choose to enable or disable operations that relate to the IMPAX Client. Dependent operations are operations that must also be enabled to provide full access to the feature.

3DVolume Viewing Allows users to launch a series into the Volume Viewing window for 3D analysis. 
Active Target Allow user to present a 3D context for images in studies and view the location of slice positions.
Apply Hanging Protocols Set Series Hanging Protocol Allow user to apply an available hanging protocol to the current study using the Set Series Hanging Protocol tool. 
Apply System Layout ProtocolsSystem Layout Protocol Allow the user to preset screen layout options that change how studies, series, and images are displayed across the available monitors.
Auto Window Level Auto Window Level on ROI Allow user to automatically window level an image based on a selected region of the image. 
Break Out Gated Series Breakout Gated Series Allow user to create a temporary series that displays the same point of a heart cycle through time in nuclear medicine studies. 
Cine Viewer Cine Viewer Allow user to play series images in a continuous loop or frame by frame. 
Comparative Review Comparative Review Sequence Allow user access to the comparative review modes for mammography screening.  
Compare Compare Allow user to display two enlarged copies of an image side by side in a window and modify one image without affecting the second image. 
Create Combined SeriesCreate Combined Series Allow user to combine all series in a study temporarily. 
Create Summary StudySummary Study Allow user to combine images from one or more series or studies as a summary study. 

Customize

Customize Allow user to open the Customize dialog in the Image area for setting user preferences for toolbars, screen layouts, hanging protocols, startup defaults, markup statistics, workflows,automatic study saves, modality preferences, image wizards, keyboard shortcuts, and cine viewer options.

The Customize operation gives access to the Customize dialog. Access all tabs on the dialog, also requires:

Image Enhancement Image Enhancement Allow user to use the Image Enhancement tool to produce a sharper, enhanced image edge by accentuating the difference between a pixel value and a weighted average of the surrounding pixels. 
Image Information WindowImage Information Allow user to display the Image Information window, which contains demographic details and orthopaedic implant details, and to print the information. 
Image Pasting Image Pasting Allow user to align a series of XA images that were taken to track a radiopaque agent through the body. 
Image Selection Image Selection Allow user to select images that other tools can be applied to. 
LinkingLink Series Allow user to connect and disconnect coplanar series so that navigation, and optionally window leveling and magnification, performed on one series applies to all connected series  
Mammography CAD SR Toggle Mammography CAD SR Toggle Allow user to display or hide mammography CAD SR markers. 
MPRVolume Viewing Allows users to launch a series into the Volume Viewing window for MPR and MIP analysis.
Nonlinear Window Level Nonlinear Window Level Allow user to change the brightness and contrast of an image based on graphical curve adjustments. 
Nuclear Medicine Palette Nuclear Medicine Palette Allow user to apply a specified color palette to grayscale images in a study. 
Paired Zoom and PanAllow the user to magnify all breast images that are in view (or stacked) and then move the images in a similar direction at current magnification.
Pin Study Pin Study Allow user to pin a study in place and keep it visible while navigating through other patient studies. 
Pixel Value TogglePixel Value Toggle Allow user to display or hide the image pixel value beneath the pointer. 
Presentation State Selection Pixel Value Toggle Allow user to apply a softcopy presentation state. 
Projection Projection Mode Allow user to enlarge a selected image to full screen size in a new window.

True Size Zoom to True Size Allow user to display the image at its actual size, according to available image information. 
Undo/Redo/Reset

Allow user to: Undo undo, Redo redo, or Reset Images reset images, Markup Reset reset markups, Geometry Reset reset geometry, Window Level Reset reset window level, or NM Palette Reset reset nuclear medicine palettes.

 
View Original ImagesView Original Images Allow user to retrieve the original DICOM image data for the displayed study. 
Window LevelWindow Level Allow user to change image brightness and contrast by adjusting window center and window width. 

Window Level Preset

Allow user to apply window level presets. Window level presets are predefined window level values.

Modify Any Job

Allow user to view print, transmit, retrieve, and CD or DVD burn jobs for all users. If the user also has permissions to delete jobs or modify their priority, he or she can modify jobs created by other users.

Allows the user to easily connect with colleagues using the IMPAX instant messaging feature.
