From the Image area context or top toolbar, click Sort
by Attribute.
or
If using the context toolbar text menu (Ctrl + right-click), select Organization > Sort by Attribute.
Click the series to be sorted.
From the menu, select the attribute to sort on. You can sort by Image Number, Acquisition Time, or Slice Location, in ascending (+ sign) or descending (– sign) order.
or
Reverse the current order by selecting Reverse.
An occasion this tool could be useful occurs when comparing old scans to newer scans. Previously, studies were scanned top down, supine head first. However, this was later changed to be bottom up, supine head first. When comparing an older study to a newer one, there is the possibility of them displaying in opposite directions. By using Sort by Attribute, this problem could be corrected.
