If any external stations are configured to receive study images, you can transmit studies, series, images, or key images to them through the List or Image area.

It is up to the receiver to chose which format; however, IMPAX systems prior to 6.5 and third-party PACS receive the string format from the study comments section of the DICOM header. |
To transmit studies to other locations from the List area
If the worklist containing the studies is collapsed, expand it.
or
In the worklist or search results, select the studies to transmit.
From the worklist bar or Advanced Search menu
,
select Transmit.
In the Transmitting dialog, from the Transmit list, select the station to transmit to.
Click Transmit.
The studies are sent to the selected location. To monitor the transmission progress, open the Job Monitor.
To transmit studies to other locations from the Image area
To transmit two or more images or series, use the Image Selection tool to select the images or series to transmit.
Right-click an image to include in the transmission.
From the context menu, select Transmit > Study, Series, Image, Key Images, Selected Images.
The Selected Images option appears only when the right-clicked image is selected.
In the Transmitting dialog, from the Transmit list, select the station to transmit to.
Click Transmit.
The image, series, study, or selected images are sent to the selected location. To monitor the transmission progress, open the Job Monitor.
