Projecting an image

Use the Projection Mode tool to display an enlarged copy of selected image in a new window. This window appears on another Image area monitor, if available, and covers up most of the Image area. Use this mode to work in the enlarged view without changing the Image area screen format or image magnification.

To project an image

  1. From the Image area context or top toolbar, click Projection Mode. Projection Mode

    Or, if using the context toolbar text menu (Ctrl + right-click), select Magnify/PanProjection Mode.

  2. Click an image in the series to project.

    If another Image area monitor is available, the image is projected onto it in a new window. Otherwise, a new window opens on the single monitor, displaying the projected image over the Image area.

  3. Select appropriate tools from the top toolbar or context toolbar and apply them to the projected image.

    The context toolbar appears when right-clicking within the Projection window. Any changes made to the projected image also appear on the original image.

  4. To move the Projection window, drag the title bar.

    You cannot resize the window.

  5. To close the window, press Alt + F4 or click Close. x

    Or, to automatically close the projection window, cycle to another patient's studies. (You may be prompted to save any changes first.)
