Use the Customize dialog to define which measurement values appear when measuring with the Markup tools.
To configure which markup statistics are displayed
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize. ![]()
In the Customize dialog, switch to the User Profile tab.
On the User Profile tab, switch to the Markup Defaults tab.
Under Markup Statistics, select the checkboxes of the values to display. Clear the rest.
| Checkbox | When selected |
|---|---|
| Number of Pixels | Shows the number of pixels in the markup. |
| Perimeter | Shows the perimeter of the markup. |
| Area | Shows the area of the markup. |
| Average | Shows an average of the pixel values. |
| Standard Deviation | Shows a calculation of the range between the average and the high and low pixel values. |
From the Markup/Calibration Unit list, select the units to use for measurements: mm, cm, or inches.
To save the changes and close the Customize dialog, click OK.
Existing markups are not changed. Future markups will show the selected values and use the selected units.
