IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Reading studies > Viewing study text and priors
Due to human error or workflow inconsistencies, the current status of an exam in IMPAX may be inaccurate. For example, someone may accidentally click Dictate Study. Or, you may have already approved a report when more images come in for the study, so you need to roll back the approval and update the report.
For cases such as these, users can be given permission to correct the status of a study in the Study panel of the Text area. The changes are IMPAX-side changes only. In the RIS, once a report is approved, it stays approved.
To change the status of a study
Display the Text area for the study of interest.
If the Study panel is contracted in the Text area, click the Study bar to expand it.
Click Edit.
From the Study Status list, select the status to apply to the study.
To cancel the change to the study status, click Cancel.
Available status options are as follows:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Undictated study |
| Trainee Dictation Started | Dictation started by resident radiologist (who may not have permission to sign off studies) |
