IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Reading studies > Transforming displayed images
Presentation states may be applied using IMPAX, before studies reach the IMPAX Client, by the modality or the technologist. If applied, you can remove them. One study can have several presentation states. However, when two or more presentation states exist for an image, only the most recent one is applied by default.
To apply a softcopy presentation state
From the Image area top toolbar, click Presentation
State Selection. ![]()
When applying softcopy presentation states, note the following:
If no presentation states exist, the tool cannot be selected. Otherwise, the Presentation State menu displays a list of all presentation states available to the images in the study. Some may be applicable only to certain images.
The radiobuttons next to each item, indicate the currently applied presentation states.
Only one softcopy presentation state can be active.
The most recently saved presentation state appears first in the list and is applied by default.
The softcopy presentation state, titled IMPAX PRESENTATION, is the base image with any user changes saved to the database.
To apply a presentation state, select it from the menu.
