Manually fixing demographic information in a single study

Note:

Note:

On sites in which IHE is enabled, Fix Up will not work on the Client. It must instead be done using the IMPAX Server Administration Tools.

Some older modalities have poor demographic entry mechanisms, so that every acquisition fails to verify against the order from the RIS. In other cases, the demographics are not properly entered or need to be re-verified.

CAUTION!

CAUTION!

In a multiple IMPAX cluster environment (multiple system), information for studies that are fixed in IMPAX (for example, demographics updated) are not propagated to other systems. Therefore, the other systems may show different patient demographics unless a system administrator manually deletes the study(ies) from all other locations and re-transfers.

To manually fix demographic information in a single study

  1. In the List area, expand the unverified studies worklist.

    or

If required, create an unverified studies worklist and add it to the List area.

  2. In the worklist, select the study to be fixed.

  3. From the worklist bar menu Worklist menu, select Fix Up.

  4. In the Fixup window, search for the order to associate with the study. To do so:

    1. Type or select a Search within last Days value.

      Note:

      Note:

You cannot enter a number larger than four digits in the Search within last Days dialog.

    2. Optionally, refine the search by entering values in any of the Patient ID, Patient Name, Accession Number, and Modality fields. To prefill any of these fields based on the selected worklist study, select the checkbox in front of the field name.

    3. Click Search.

  5. From the results list, select the order with the correct demographics.

  6. Click Fix Up.

  7. If the selected order already has a study UID connected with it, you are asked if you want to merge the selected study with the study already associated with the order. As long as you have selected the correct study, click Yes to merge the images from this study into the other study.

The study is updated with the correct demographics and is removed from the Unverified list.

  8. To fix other unverified studies, repeat from step 2.

Search options last selected are retained by default.

  9. To close the Fix Up pane, click Cancel.
