Use the Import Image tool to convert a 24-bit true-color BMP, 8-bit color JPEG, or 8-bit monochrome JPEG file to a DICOM image. (No other file formats are supported.) You can then add the converted image to the current study as a new series or append it to the end of the last series in the study.
To import an image
In the Image area, navigate to the study to import an image into.
From the top toolbar, click Import.
To add the imported image as a new series in the study, in the Import dialog, select Add to a New Series.
or
To add the image to the end of the last series in the study, select Add to the Last Series.
Click Browse
In the Open dialog, from the Files of Type list, select BMP Files or JPEG Files.
Browse to the location of the image to import, select it, and click Open.
In the Import dialog, click Import.
The image is added to the study as the first series or the last image of the last series.
