Use the Collimate tool to crop an image of any clutter. DF and RF studies are most often cropped.
![]() | CAUTION! Changes made with the Collimate tool are not just display changes; parts of the image are actually removed. Furthermore, once Collimate changes are saved, they cannot be undone. |
To crop an image
From the Image area top toolbar, Markup button menu, select Collimate.
The pointer has a rectangle shape attached to it.
To enlarge or reduce the rectangle before you place it, move the mouse scroll wheel.
Place the rectangle over the region to crop, then click.
A rectangle with control points is placed:

If required, move or resize the crop area:
To move the crop area, drag the center control point to a new position.
To resize the crop area, drag the lower-right control points to a new position.
To rotate the crop area, drag the large, upper-right outer control point to a new position.
To crop the image, right-click.
Parts of the image outside the rectangle are eliminated.
To undo the collimate before it is saved, click the middle mouse button (or use the Undo tool).
