Events audited to the MAP_EVENT table: Reference

The following table lists audit events that are logged to the MAP_EVENT table. Audit records can be used to produce audit trails required at facilities, such as those that are legislated under the US HIPAA rules. The audit records sent to the Audit Record Repository, indicated by an asterisk (*) in the following tables, are structured to meet the IHE Record Audit Event transaction.

All audit records contain information such as the IP address or host name of the machine used to access the data, the date and time of access, and the user ID or process ID used to access the data. For actions that change or access study information, the study_uid, patient_id, and data_id fields may contain additional audit information.

Where appropriate, a link has been added to the task associated with the event.

	BURN_CLEANUP	A BURN_CLEANUP job is created to remove image information used in completed or expired burn requests to the CD Export Server.	event_info contains the number of seconds to complete the job.
	BURN_PREPARE	A request to burn images to a CD is sent to the CD Export Server. Two BURN_PREPARE events are logged.	event_info contains the number of seconds to complete the job.
*	CACHE_VOLUME_CREATED	An image cache is added through the Cache Manager.	event_info contains the AE ref of the station the cache was created on; machine_id contains the IP address of the machine making the map_event entry.
*	CC_OBJECT_NOT_APPLIED	A cc object is not applied by the Change Accepter. (A change may not be applied because the database value already matches the cc object value.)	object_ref contains reference number of cc object.
*	CD_EXPORT_SUCCESSFUL	A CD of images is created in IMPAX Client.	event_info contains the study UID; study_uid contains the study UID; patient_id contains the patient ID; data_id contains the media ID and media type.
*	CD_EXPORT_WITH_VIEWER_SUCCESSFUL	A CD of images with a viewer is created in IMPAX Client.	event_info contains the study UID; study_uid contains the study UID; patient_id contains the patient ID; data_id contains the media ID and media type.
	CHECKOUT	A normally completed login sequence, where a license is granted to a user.	event_info indicates the license that was granted and the user ID it was granted to.
	CHECKOUT_DENIED	All acquired and grace license limits have been reached and the affected users were not able to complete the login sequence.	event_info describes why the license checkout failed; sent_to_arr is set to F; viewed columns is set to F.
	CHECKOUT_GRACE	A license is granted to a user, but indicates that the 21-day grace period is in effect for the license. This can happen when the expiration time of the license has been reached or if a change is made to a network card (NIC).	event_info indicates the license that was granted and the user ID it was granted to.
	CLIENT_GO_TO_SLEEP	The IMPAX Client is left idle and the screen saver is activated.	—
	CLIENT_WAKE_UP	The IMPAX Client is activated again after being left idle.	—

	COPY	A COPY job to send a copy of a study to an Archive Server completed successfully (event_class AUDIT) or unsuccessfully (event_class ERROR). Logged after STUDY_COPIED event.	—

*	DICTATION_COMPLETED	Dictation is completed in the IMPAX Client. 	EXCEPTION_SET_FOLDER_PERMISSION_ FAIL	Task Scheduler failed to set the permission for a cache or non-cache folder.	—
	EXCEPTION_SET_FOLDER_PERMISSION_ OPEN	Task Scheduler issues this exception when too many users are accessing a cache or non-cache folder that has permissions set on it.	—
	EXPORT	An image is exported to JPEG from the IMPAX Client.	event_info indicates that an image was exported to JPEG; study_uid contains the study UID; patient_id contains the patient ID; data_id contains data_id; machine_id contains the IP address of the machine making the map_event entry.
*	FAILED_LOGON	A user attempts to log into the IMPAX Client or Administration Tools, but does not use the correct user name or does not supply the correct password.	event_info indicates that the user failed to authenticate; user_id contains the user name supplied for the login attempt.
*	FAILED_PASSWORD_CHANGE	A user attempts to change his or her password but is unable to.	event_info indicates that the user could not change his or her password; data_id contains the user ID.
*	GROUP_MANAGEMENT_CREATE	A role is created in the IMPAX Client.	event_info contains the user who created the role, the name of the role, and the hierarchy of where the role fits into the enterprise; data_id contains the name of the role that was created and the hierarchy of where the role fits into the enterprise.
*	GROUP_MANAGEMENT_DELETE	A role is deleted in the IMPAX Client.	event_info contains the user who deleted the role, the name of the role, and the hierarchy of where the role fit into the enterprise; data_id contains the name of the role that was deleted and the hierarchy of where the role fit into the enterprise.
*	GROUP_MANAGEMENT_MODIFY	Preferences for a role are updated.	event_info indicates that the preferences were changed; data_id contains the name of the role that was updated and the hierarchy of where the role fits into the enterprise.
	IMAGE_EXPORT_JPEG	One or more images are exported as an email attachment or as a JPEG from the Composite Layout form in IMPAX Client. Logged after the SUCCESSFUL_IMAGE_EXPORT event.	—

	INSTALL_LICENSE	A license is installed on the Application Server.	event_info indicates the serial number of the license.

	MANUAL_RETRIEVAL_OF_STUDY	A study is retrieved from the prior study list in IMPAX Client. A study is retrieved from CD in IMPAX Client. A study is retrieved from a remote station in IMPAX Client.	study_uid contains the study UID; patient_id contains the patient ID.
*	NEW_STUDY	A tx object with a status of New is applied by the Change Accepter. Generally, this does not occur because the status of a study at a site does not go backwards; for example, from Dictated to New.	—

*	QUALITY_TEST_RESULT_ADDED	A test result is added in the Quality Test Manager.	—

*	QUEUE_HALTED	A queue is halted in the Queue Monitor. A queue is halted in the Job Manager.	—

	RELEASE	A license that is no longer in use is released by the IMPAX Distributed License Manager service on the Application Server. The license is returned to the license pool to be used again.	event_info indicates that the license was successfully released.
	REMOVE_LICENSE	A license is uninstalled.	event_info indicates which license was uninstalled.
	RENEW	The secure client configuration is maintained for a configurable amount of time. After this amount of time, the license must be renewed. This event is logged when the license is successfully renewed.	event_info indicates that the license was successfully renewed.
	RENEW_DENIED	A user license could not be renewed.	event_info indicates why the license was not renewed.
*	REPORT_VIEWED	A report of prior studies is viewed in IMPAX Client.	event_info indicates that a report was queried; study_uid contains the study UID.

	ROUTE	A study is routed from IMPAX to another system successfully (event_class AUDIT) or unsuccessfully (event_class ERROR). Logged after STUDY_ROUTED event.	—

*	STATION_DELETED_BY_MERGE	Multiple stations are merged into one using the cleanup functionality in Source Manager.	machine_id contains the IP address of the machine making the map_event entry.
*	STORE	A study is stored to an archive (event_class AUDIT) or failed to be stored (event_class ERROR). Logged after STUDY_STORED/STUDIES_STORED event.	event_info contains the number of seconds to complete the job; machine_id contains the IP address of the machine making the map_event entry.

*	STUDY_ARRIVED	A study is sent from a modality to the Network Gateway in IMPAX. A study is routed to IMPAX from another system. A study is imported at the IMPAX Client from CD-R. This event is generated only after all images for the study have arrived based on a timeout value for how long to wait for additional images.
