Staging rules prevent your image cache volume from being completely filled to ensure the system functions normally. These rules apply additional configurable constraints to determine deletion and archiving eligibility of studies. This determines the aggressiveness of the Autopilot. You can modify the default settings on the Staging Rules tab to optimize Autopilot functionality to suit the needs of your system.
If the study satisfies the study status constraint or the hours since created constraint, it is eligible for archiving. This restriction does not apply to deletion staging rules.
![]() | Note: The study status constraint in the staging rules is ignored after a study has not been modified for 7 days. |
If you are not using the system with an archive and intend to store images in the cache permanently, configure the staging rules to ensure that studies are not deleted from the cache.
![]() | Note: The Study Age before Archiving value is also used to determine when a study can be archived. |
