Fixing and verifying a study


An unverified study is an incoming study that does not match the information from the HIS. Use the Study Manager to edit the study information to match the HIS information. If the study cannot be fixed, you may have to delete the irreparable study from the database.

The station that performs the verification (typically the Connectivity Manager) must already be set up in Network Management.

To fix and verify a study

  1. On the Daily tab, click Study Manager.Study Manager

  2. Click Toggle Study Fixing Window. Toggle Study Fixing Window

    The Fix Up panel appears in the bottom half of the screen.

  3. Find the studies to fix.

  4. From the results list, select a study to repair.

  5. To show the values, select the checkbox to the right of the Patient Name, Patient ID, or Accession Number fields. Clear the checkboxes beside the values you do not want shown.

    By default, all checkboxes are selected.

  6. From the Station Name list, select the name of the Connectivity Manager to query against.

  7. If the study is problematic—for example, has missing or incorrect information—click Query HIS. Query HIS

    Any orders on the Connectivity Manager connected to the HIS being queried appear in the list.

    If necessary, to change the query constraints, switch to the Constraint tab and select the appropriate constraint values.

    Constraint Values
    Status Any Status, Study Scheduled, Study Started, Study Completed.
    Study Date Any Study Date, Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, Last 2 Days, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Next 7 Days, Next 30 Days. Or click + to add Hours from Now (+/- hours).
    Station Any Station. Or click + to add a specific station to the list.
    Modality Any Modality, XA, DF, CT, CR, NM, US, MG, MR, OT, Default. Or click + to add other modalities.

    Max Number of Studies

    Any Number, or enter the maximum number of studies to return.

  8. In the Fixup panel, select the order used to fix the study.

  9. Click Fix Up. Fix Up

  10. To hide the Fixup panel again, click the Toggle Study Fixing Window. Toggle Study Fixing Window
