When finding studies using the Administration Tools, the following criteria are available. Make a selection from the list provided, or click + to add a value to the list. For search criteria that require input into a text field, such as patient name or accession number, type the full search term or, if you only know part of the information, include wildcards.

| Location | Find a study based on the location of the study in the
cluster. Listed location options include:
To add stations that have been configured in Network Management, click the + beside the list. |
Modality |
Find a study that was generated on a particular modality. Uses abbreviations to represent modalities. To add a new modality value, click the + beside the list. |
Study Date |
Find a study that was generated on a particular date. Possible dates include: Any Study Date, Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday, Last 2 Days, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Next 7 Days, Next 30 Days, or a Custom date range. To add date range, click the + beside the list. In the Study Date Range dialog, click Start Date and select the start date from the calendar. Click End Date and select the end date from the calendar. Click Add. (You can also remove date ranges by selecting them and clicking Remove.) |
| Study Status | Find a study based on the status:

Protected |
Find a study that is protected or unprotected. Protecting a study prevents the Autopilot from removing particular studies from cache. If you unprotect a study, the study again becomes available for deletion from cache. |
| Referring Physician | Find a study based on the name of the physician who referred the patient. Typically the Referring Physician is a specialist or family doctor outside the hospital enterprise, but in the case of the ER, the Referring Physician is on-site. To add a referring physician, click the + beside the list. |
| Performing Physician | Find a study based on the name of the physician who performed the exam.
To add a performing physician, click the + beside the list. |
| Specialty | Find a study that concerns a specific specialty. Examples of specialties are Head, Chest, Body, Neuro, GI, and so on. To add a specialty, click the + beside the list. |
| Patient Name | Find a study for a particular patient by typing in a full or partial Patient Name. The program searches the selected location for studies matching that name.
If you cannot make out a particular letter or string, use wildcards as placeholders for unknown letters. If searching on this criteria, to start the search, press Enter or click Refresh. |
| Patient ID | Find a study for a particular patient. If you type an entire ID number, the program searches for an exact match to that number.
If you cannot make out a particular digits, or group of digits, use wildcards as placeholders for unknown numbers. If searching on this criteria, to start the search, press Enter or click Refresh. |
| Accession Number | Type an Accession Number directly in the field. If you type an entire Accession Number, the program searches for an exact match to that number.
If you cannot make out a particular digit, or group of digits, use wildcards as placeholders for unknown numbers. If searching on this criteria, to start the search, press Enter or click Refresh. |
