Images transmitted from an acquisition station can be verified against information in the HIS or RIS before they are archived.
The station that IMPAX verifies studies against—typically the Connectivity Manager—must already be set up in Network Management. IMPAX 6.5.1 supports one or more Connectivity Managers. Each Connectivity Manager can service one or more RIS systems.
To verify incoming studies against the HIS
On the Setup tab, click Source Manager.
Switch to the HIS Verification tab.
From the list at the bottom of the manager, select the acquisition station.
Beside Perform HIS verification, select Yes.
From the AE title for HIS station to verify against list, select the AE title of the station used for HIS verification.
Typically this is the Connectivity Manager.
Select the Verification and Notification options that apply.
If part of a multiple cluster configuration, from the Send Study Observed Notification to the following HIS stations list, select the stations to be notified of study instance UIDs from third-party PACS systems.
Click Save.
