Viewing auditing information in the Event Viewer

To conform with high-security systems, many events performed in the Administration Tools, IMPAX Client, CLUI, and Application Server License Manager are audited. Examples of events that are audited include:

This audit information is saved in the MAP_EVENT table.

To view auditing information in the Event Viewer

  1. Select ToolsEvent Viewer.

  2. From the notification type list, select Audit.

  3. From the time list, select a time period for the audit records to view.

  4. From the status list, select the status of the audit information to view.

  5. From the event type list, select an event type.

    Only event types that are in the map_event table appear in this list. To keep this list up-to-date, select the Keep Event Type Data Refreshed checkbox.

  6. From the user ID list, select a user ID.

    Only user IDs that are in the map_event table appear in this list. To keep this list up-to-date, select the Keep User ID Data Refreshed checkbox.

  7. Click Refresh. Refresh

    The Event table is updated. If the Keep Event Type Data Refreshed and Keep User ID Data Refreshed checkboxes are selected, the event type and user ID lists are updated as well.

  8. Select the audit entry to view.

    The audit information for the selected item appears in the rows at the bottom of the page.

    Previously viewed events are indicated by a checkmark in the Viewed column.

  9. To save a list of viewed events, click Save.Save

  10. To close the dialog, click Exit. Exit
