Radiology: Getting started

When reading studies and preparing reports, you can perform the following tasks to get started.

To read studies and prepare reports

  1. Search for a study or studies, or cycle the worklist or worklists that contain the studies to be screened.

  2. View as much study text as needed—the highlights, the order information, and the study description.

  3. Where appropriate, compare the current and prior study images.

  4. Adjust the window level for optimal image display.

  5. Measure lengths using the Markup Caliper tool.

  6. Annotate the images with text and arrows.

  7. Create key images to highlight the most important images in the study.

  8. Dictate a report using IMPAX Reporting.

    You can also dictate a report using TalkStation or using another application.

  9. Sign off a single report or multiple reports using IMPAX Reporting.

    You can also use TalkStation to sign off reports.
