The Pin/Unpin Studies tool is useful for comparing the current studies to its priors. You can pin the current study in place as you navigate to the other studies. The pinned study remains fixed in place and is always visible, making comparison easier.
To compare current and prior studies
Optionally, in the List area, click Relevant Priors to automatically open relevant priors when you cycle a worklist or open a study.
If required, from the Study List in the Text area, open any prior studies to view.
Select a screen format or study view mode that displays two or more studies at once.
For example, select the Study 1x2
screen
format or the Span One Screen 
study
view mode.From the Image area context or top toolbar, click Pin/Unpin Studies.
Or, if using the context toolbar text menu (Ctrl + right-click), select Organization > Pin/Unpin Studies.
Click the current study.
A pin icon appears in the top middle of the study.
To deactivate the Pin tool, right-click.
The pinned study stays fixed in place as you scroll through other studies for the patient, making it easier to compare the current study to its priors.
To unpin a study
Click Pin/Unpin Studies.
Click the pinned study.
The pin icon is removed and the study is no longer fixed in place.
