What is IMPAX for Clinicians?

IMPAX for Clinicians is a software application intended for use by, or on the order of, a physician or healthcare professional to access medical images and other evidence documents to provide care to patients. Using a Clinician license gives access to the features of IMPAX for Clinicians.

The users of this device must at all times observe the rules of good clinical practice and carefully interpret the information computed by and/or displayed on this device and corroborate it with other clinical and technical patient data.

Fundamental IMPAX features and tools—such as viewing worklists, displaying reports, basic transformation of study images, and creating markups—are available under all licenses. The Clinician license also includes support for features not available under a Enterprise license, such as creating key images, CD burning, and DICOM printing.

Other IMPAX features can optionally be made available under the Clinician license as required. These include:

The Configure area, integrated TalkStation dictation, and comparative review of mammography studies are not available under a Clinician license.
