Some breast imaging highlights of IMPAX 6.5 Client include:
The Image Scale to Fit tool scales images so that the breast fills the available viewport space. When applied, all images are displayed as large as possible, without cutting off any anatomical content.
Ability to view images at full resolution:
Use the Paired Zoom and Pan tool to magnify all breast images that are in view (or stacked) and then move the images in a similar direction at current magnification.
Use the 1:1 Navigator tool to display the breast image at one-to-one pixel size, where one detector pixel equals one screen pixel.
19 1:1 Navigator Comparative Review Modes are available for viewing mammography studies..
Provided interface to define two comparative review mode sequences: screening and diagnostic. You can switch between the sequences depending on which type of study you are reading.
Eight lateral CRM views (LM/ML/XCCL) have been added.
![]() | Note: Any source mapping that cause these views to stack with their corresponding CC or MLO views must be altered or removed for these new views to appear properly. |
CAD information available in a window by hovering over any CAD finding.
Can apply different presentations to an image using VOI LUTs.
Same Size scaling is applied automatically to all Compare CRM views when breast images are displayed.
When inverting MG images, if the image contains padded pixels (or pixel padding range) as per the DICOM specification, the background remains black when the image is inverted.
The configurable film size feature allows IMPAX to select the film size for printing MG images automatically.
Set a current study indicator to warn the user if none of the studies being displayed are within a configurable period from the current time. The text Not current next to the pin symbol indicates that the study is older than the configured time.
The Agfa mammography keypad is designed specifically for mammography that makes it easier to navigate through, magnify, and change comparative review modes for breast images. In addition, predefined keyboard shortcuts are available for the keypad.
In the Status bar of the Image area, two magnifications factors are provided: full pixel resolution (P) and true size (T).
Enhanced breast imaging demographics:
When breast imaging demographics are configured on the left-hand side of the Demographic Layout Manager in the IMPAX Administration Tools, the demographics flip when displayed or printed so they always appear on the non-chest wall side.
Three preconfigured demographic layouts are available for display; a default layout meant to contain Clinical information relating to the patient, a Technical layout for image acquisition information, and an Investigative layout for modality information.
A 3 cm scale on the non-chest wall side of all breast images is visible to indicate the physical size of the displayed image.
It is not uncommon for a study to be performed initially by one technologist on a modality and then have additional views performed by another technologist, possibly in a different room on a different modality. IMPAX 6.5 displays the unique station name and operator name per mammography image.
