IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Defining study text and priors
The Text area displays study, order, and report information. Its main panels are Study Highlights, Study List, Order, Study, and Report. You can define which information fields are displayed in the Study Highlights, Order, and Study panels. Data availability, however, varies according to whether the IMPAX Client is connected to an IMPAX RIS, another RIS, or no RIS.
To configure which information fields are displayed in the Text area
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
In the Text area, if defining the Order or Study panel, ensure that the Description tab is forward.
Right-click the bar of the panel to configure—Study Highlights, Order, or Study.
From the menu, select Configure.
In the Configure dialog, under Display the following fields when viewing, select the checkboxes of the types of studies the selected Text area fields are to be displayed for: New Studies to Read, Studies with Preliminary Reports, Studies with Approved Reports.
Under Available Data Fields, select the checkbox of the field to be displayed.

Select a field to be displayed and drag it into the Text area panel.

Certain fields are listed once in the dialog, but add two pieces of data to the Text area. For example, adding the Requesting Physician field adds that field along with a Phone Number field.
Repeat step 6 for each field you want to add.
To add space between fields, select the Separator item and drag it into position.
Clear the checkboxes of any fields that you do not want displayed.

To highlight fields in the Study Highlight panel, in the Highlight column of the Configure Study Highlights dialog, select the checkboxes of the fields you want to highlight.
Highlighted fields are displayed with black text on a white background.
When the Text area panel contains the appropriate fields in the appropriate locations, in the Configure dialog, click OK.
The selected fields are displayed in this and future sessions.
