Defining cine speed, magnification, and performance options


When authenticating with a smart card, impersonation is not available.

Use the Customize dialog to fine-tune the default behavior of the Cine Viewer. The Cine Viewer is used to play back series in Ultrasound, XA, and NM studies, for example, either continuously or frame by frame.

To define cine speed, magnification, and performance options

  1. If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.

  2. Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.

  3. In the Customize dialog, switch to the Cine Viewer tab.

  4. Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the cine settings to.

  5. On the Cine Viewer tab, switch to the Advanced Cine Settings tab.

  6. Under General Options, set the following:

    1. Whether or not to update cines while playing. In most cases, select the Update While Playing checkbox to update automatically.

    2. Frame rate preferences and default playback speed.

    3. The maximum magnification value.

  7. Under Performance Options, set the following:

    1. The default cine start position.

    2. Any series preloading.

    3. Whether or not cine plays automatically.

  8. Click Apply.

  9. Repeat steps 4–8 for other modalities or body parts.

  10. To save the changes and close the Customize dialog, click OK.
