You can set the cine to automatically start when studies from certain modalities, such as MR or US, are displayed in the Image area. Cine is used to play back series continuously or frame by frame.
To configure cines to play automatically
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.
In the Customize dialog, switch to the Cine Viewer tab.
Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the preloading settings to.
On the Cine Viewer tab, switch to the Advanced Cine Settings tab.
Under Performance Options, select the Auto Start checkbox.
To specify the maximum number of series that can be displayed before the cine plays automatically, select the Auto Start if Number of Series is Less Than checkbox and type a value in the field.
Use this setting to prevent cine from running when using a screen format that displays many series at once. Performance can be adversely affected when playing cines of many series.
Click Apply.
Repeat steps 4–8 for other modalities and body parts.
Alternatively, for US and XA studies, you have the option of using preconfigured image wizards to start cine automatically.
To use image wizards to configure cines to play automatically
In the Customize dialog, switch to the Wizards tab.
To play US cines automatically, ensure that the US Auto Cine wizard is enabled. If not, select it and click Enable.
To play XA cines automatically, ensure that the XA Auto Cine wizard is enabled. If not, select it and click Enable.
Click Apply.
To close the Customize dialog, click OK.
 | Tip: For any modality, you can set Cine Viewer to be the default tool. This makes the Cine Viewer toolbar appear whenever studies from this modality are first displayed. |
