To prevent users from magnifying the image too much with the Cine toolbar Magnify control or Zoom tool, define a maximum zoom level.
To define the maximum zoom level for cine images
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.
In the Customize dialog, switch to the Cine Viewer tab.
Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the magnification setting to.
On the Cine Settings tab, under Selectable Controls, ensure that the Magnify checkbox is selected.

Ensure that the Tool checkbox is selected. Switch to the Cine Tools tab and ensure that the Zoom tool has been added to the Cine Viewer bar.
The Magnify control and Zoom tool perform the same function.
On the Cine Viewer tab, switch to the Advanced Cine Settings tab.
Under General Options, type the Maximum Magnification value.
If you type 8, for example, the image cannot be magnified by more than a factor of 8.
Click Apply.
Repeat steps 4–7 for other modalities and body parts.
To close the dialog, click OK.
