Setting the default playback speed for cines

When authenticating with a smart card, impersonation is not available.

To avoid always changing the playback speed of the Cine Viewer, you can set the default playback speed for each modality.

To set the default playback speed for cines

  1. If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.

  2. Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.

  3. In the Customize dialog, switch to the Cine Viewer tab.

  4. Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the playback speed settings to.

  5. On the Cine Viewer tab, switch to the Advanced Cine Settings tab.

  6. To play at the frame rate defined in the DICOM header of the study, select the Start with DICOM Cine Attributes checkbox.

  7. To account for the higher electricity voltage used in most countries other than the United States, Canada, and Japan, select the European Frame Rates (Jog Shuttle) checkbox.

  8. In the Speed field, type the number of frames per second, between 1 and 120. The higher the frame rate, the smoother the playback appears.

If the Start with DICOM Cine Attributes checkbox is cleared, or if the frame rate is not defined in the DICOM header of the study, the Speed value is used for cine playback.

  9. Click Apply.

  10. Repeat steps 4–9 for other modalities and body parts.

  11. To save the changes and close the Customize dialog, click OK.

Tip

Tip:

To allow users to adjust the playback speed of individual series, add the Frame Rate control to the Cine toolbar.
