Issue

Two or more unrelated studies have become incorrectly associated with each other and have been merged.

Details

Various situations can cause images to appear as if they belong to the same study when they do not. For example, a technologist selects an incorrect worklist entry at the modality or a technologist performs a manual fixup on the study and selects the wrong entry returned from Connectivity Manager.

Solution

The images must be split into the appropriate studies and all patient and study attributes must be reviewed. To split the unrelated images, complete the following steps:

1. Split the studies that have been incorrectly associated.

2. Fix up the split studies.

3. Manually modify any data not automatically derived or provided by HIS verification.
