IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Ensuring system security
To meet the requirements of high-security environments, many events in the IMPAX Client are audited. Examples of audited events include:
A user attempts to change his or her password.
A user logs into IMPAX.
A user tries but fails to log into IMPAX.
Study dictation status changes.
An action is taken on a study such as cloning, printing, or transmitting.
A user accesses a restricted study.
This audit information is saved as a string in the map_event table. You can access audit information by using the IMPAX Administration Tools Event Viewer. For more information, refer to “Viewing audit information in the Event Viewer” (topic number 9334) in the Administration Tools component of the IMPAX 6.5.1 Server Knowledge Base .
If you have the Audit Manager installed in the IMPAX cluster, you can use this program to extract information about access to protected health information. Refer to Assigning Audit Manager users and permissions and the Audit Manager Knowledge Base.
