IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Managing studies using worklists
In an emergency situation, clinicians, radiologists, or technologists may
need access to studies that would otherwise be restricted. For example, the
study of a celebrity would normally be available to only a specific clinician
and radiologist. But, in an emergency situation, others need immediate access
to that study. If you have
emergency access permissions, and a worklist contains a restricted study, the lock icon
is
displayed in the worklist bar.
![]() | Note: Access to restricted studies is audited so that hospital administrators can track people who improperly access studies of celebrities, other hospital staff, and so on. |
To view restricted studies
In the worklist bar, click the lock. ![]()
In the Emergency Access dialog, type a reason for the access.
Click OK.
The lock icons disappears and the restricted studies are now displayed in the worklist.
If another restricted study becomes available, the lock reappears in the worklist bar, and you must click it again to see the study.
