Dictating multiple studies with integrated TalkStation

On workstations where TalkStation is integrated with IMPAX, you can start a TalkStation dictation from within IMPAX. You can dictate a single study or dictate two or more studies for one patient at once—typically all studies in one order.

To dictate multiple studies with integrated TalkStation

  1. Display the studies in the Image area, normally by cycling a worklist.

The studies must be closed (all images acquired) and have a status of New.

  2. From the Image area top toolbar, click Dictate Study .Dictate Study,

If Start dictation action is enabled, you can also press Record Record on the SpeechMike, or say Start dictation in SpeechMike command mode.

If configured to do so, when a study is dictated, IMPAX advanced to the next undictated study. Once all patient studies are dictated, IMPAX removes them from your cycle list and advances to the next patient.

If another user begins dictating the study that you are viewing, a dictation conflict warning appears (if this option is configured). If another user begins dictating a study in your cycle list that you are not currently viewing, it automatically drops off your cycle list.
