Showing and hiding the TalkStation window

When IMPAX and TalkStation are integrated, logging into IMPAX automatically starts TalkStation as well. By default, TalkStation runs in hidden mode, meaning that its window is not visible and it does not appear on the Windows taskbar. You can bring the TalkStation window into view as required.

To show the TalkStation window

  1. From the Image area top toolbar, right-click Dictate Study. Dictate Study in TalkStation

If IMPAX and TalkStation are not yet in sync with each other, the Dictate Study button does not contain the word Talk. Dictate Study

  2. From the menu, select Show/Hide Dictation Window.

The TalkStation window appears in the foreground. If not yet synchronized, it does not contain information related to the displayed study.

    Tip

    Tip:

The SpeechMike button toggles TalkStation between hidden and visible states.

  3. If necessary, move the TalkStation window to another position on this or another monitor.

The position of the TalkStation window is saved and used the next time the window is displayed.

    Tip

    Tip:

We recommend that you place the TalkStation window on a different monitor than the Image area, if possible. Otherwise, it moves behind the Image area window whenever you click in the Image area. (To redisplay it in this case, press the Toggle button on the SpeechMike, then click the TalkStation window to activate it.)

To hide the TalkStation window

  1. From the top toolbar, right-click Dictate Study. Dictate Study in TalkStation

  2. From the menu, select Show/Hide Dictation Window.

TalkStation remains running but its window is hidden.
