To prevent two (or more) radiologists from dictating the same study, you can configure IMPAX to prompt radiologists when others begin dictation on a study currently being displayed.
To handle studies already being dictated
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role, or log in as the user.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.
In the Customize dialog, switch to the User Profile tab.
Switch to the Workflow tab.
Select the Notify Me When checkbox.
Determine if the user is notified if someone is dictating a study based on patient or study:
For notifications at the patient level, select Dictating Same Patient.
For notifications at the study level, select Dictating Same Study.
The selected users are notified if others start to dictate the study they are currently viewing. This setting also causes patients/studies to be removed from the user's worklist once all the patient's studies are dictated.
Click Apply.
To save the settings and close the Customize dialog, click OK.
