The options that follow are available when adding stations to the network.
| Station type | When to select it |
|---|---|
| Acquisition Station | To set up the selected station as an acquisition station. Use if the selected station is sending original acquisition images or third-party images. |
| Review Station | Use if the selected station receives images for display purposes. |
| PACS | Use for remote PACS systems, to inform the system that images are arriving from another PACS rather than directly from a modality device. |
HIS/RIS |
To indicate that this station is a Connectivity Manager or HIS/RIS station. |
| Other | To set up the selected station as a DICOM workstation, DICOM printer, or other DICOM receiving station. |
