The stations that IMPAX sends Study Observed Notifications to—typically the Connectivity Manager—must already be set up in Network Management as a HIS/RIS station.
IMPAX 6.5.1 supports one or more Connectivity Managers. Each Connectivity Manager can service one or more RIS systems. In a multiple cluster configuration IMPAX can preserve and synchronize Study Instance UIDs from a third-party PACS by notifying Connectivity Managers of these messages.
To configure HIS stations to receive Study Observed Notifications
On the Setup tab, click Source Manager.
Switch to the HIS Verification tab.
From the list at the bottom of the manager, select the acquisition station to configure.
Beside Perform HIS verification, select Yes.
From the AE title for HIS station to verify against list, select the AE title of the station that IMPAX uses to verify the HIS data against.
Select the Verification and Notification options that apply.
From the Send Study Observed Notification to the following HIS stations list, select the stations to notify of study instance UID updates from third-party PACS systems.
You can select one or more HIS stations. A Connectivity Manager may be part of a multiple cluster configuration but have no contact with the third-party PACS, in which case it would not have to be notified.
To disable study observed notification (for example, if no cross-enterprise configuration is required), do not select any stations.
Click Save.
