IMPAX supports a hospital environment that contains a mixture of IHE enabled and non-IHE devices. For some processes, such as HIS verification, IMPAX must be able to identify whether an acquisition station is IHE enabled or is a non-IHE device. The IHE Enabled setting causes HIS verification to be based on the procedure information (requested procedure ID and scheduled procedure step ID) instead of the accession number; for example, in cases with multiple procedures using the same accession number but different study UIDs.
To identify an acquisition station as IHE enabled
On the Setup tab, click Source Manager.
Switch to the Other tab.
From the list at the bottom of the manager, select the acquisition station to configure.
To identify the station as IHE enabled, select the IHE Enabled checkbox.
Click Save.
