IMPAX 6.5.1 Server Knowledge Base home > Maintaining IMPAX Server: Managing studies > Study Manager
The Location column on the results list shows the current location of the study. This information can be useful for retrieving studies, transmitting studies, deleting studies from cache or archive, merging studies, and splitting studies.
A study can exist in more than one location. For example, if the status lists C L T, the study exists both in system (C) and local (L) as well as on tape (T).
Locations supported by IMPAX 6.4 and later:
| Location | Description | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| C | System cache | O | Offline |
| E | External | P | PACS archive |
| H | HSM | W | Web cache |
| L | Local station cache | Z | Disabled source |
Locations supported by IMPAX 6.3 and earlier:
| Location | Description | Location | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| C | System cache | O | Offline |
| D | DVD-R | P | PACS archive |
| E | External | R | CD-R |
| H | HSM | T | Tape archive |
L |
Local station cache |
W |
Web cache |
| M | MOD archive | Z | Disabled source |
When lowercase letters are used—for example, c instead of C—this means that some but not all of the study objects are in that location.
