IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Reading studies > Viewing studies across monitors
When configuring stations, you can define a color extended monitor for the Image area that radiologists can use to display color or grayscale instances of images, such as color Doppler US, nuclear medicine secondary capture objects, MRI, color PET, and CT and MR color reconstructions. Normally the extended monitor is a standard color monitor.
To configure an extended monitor for the Image area
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.

Or, from the List area bar, click the User ID menu
and select Station Configuration.
If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a single station or station container to change all stations within that container.
In the details pane, expand the General bar.
Switch to the Monitor Layout tab.
From the Extended Monitor Number list, select the monitor, from 1 to 4, that displays color or grayscale instances of images.
Monitors are numbered from left (1) to right. For stations, the number of available monitors is detected automatically.
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.

Or, if in the Station configure dialog, click OK.
