IMPAX supports two types of monitors:
Diagnostic-quality, grayscale monitors in sizes ranging from 1.3 to 5 MegaPixels, with either a portrait or landscape orientation
Standard, non-diagnostic color monitors
The List area and Text area are typically displayed on a standard color monitor, while the Image area is displayed on diagnostic monitors. The Image area can be displayed across one, two, or four diagnostic monitors of the same resolution. The number, size, and orientation of the monitors at each station is detected automatically by IMPAX.
![]() | CAUTION! We do not recommend setting the display to less than 32-bit color for official diagnostic interpretation. |
To view color elements of images, such as color Doppler US, nuclear medicine secondary capture objects, MRI, color PET, and CT and MR color reconstructions, you can configure a standard color monitor as an extended monitor for the Image area. This extended monitor mode can also be used for the Orthopaedic Application.
The color monitor used for the List and Text area is generally optimized for a resolution of 1024x768 while the diagnostic monitors can be viewed in any resolution supported by the Agfa-validated video cards and monitors.
![]() | Note: On stations where users are diagnosing with the features found in the Breast Imaging Radiologist license, only Agfa-validated video cards and monitors should be used. For a complete list, contact your Agfa representative. |
