Throughout the hospital you will have some stations assigned to specific tasks, based on the equipment attached to them. For example, any stations that radiologists use for reporting have diagnostic monitors. You can set various options for these stations in the Configure area - Stations section. This page lists the tasks required to configure monitors.
![]() | Tip: To make monitor configuration faster, you can group stations by their related use into a single station container. For example, all stations used for general radiology can go into a Radiology station container. You could also have a grouping of stations for Orthopaedics or for Breast Imaging. When you configure settings for the station container, all stations under it inherit these settings. Refer to Determining how stations should be organized. |
To configure monitors for radiology, breast imaging radiology, or orthopaedics use
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.
In the navigation pane, select the station container for the general radiology, breast imaging, or orthopaedics computers, or select a specific station.
Define which monitor displays the List and Text areas.
Normally, this is the standard color monitor.
Define which monitors display the Image area.
Up to four diagnostic monitors of the same resolution are supported on a single station.
Define the extended monitor, a standard color monitor, on which to display color images.
For Orthopaedic stations, define whether the Orthopaedic Application appears on the extended monitor.
Set the calibration type for the diagnostic monitors to define how images are translated to the diagnostic monitors.
Define the pixel size for the diagnostic monitors so that images can be displayed at true or actual size.
The changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
To override automatic toolbar button sizing, manually set the button size based on your preference.

To configure monitors for clinician use
In the navigation pane, select the station container for the clinician computers or select a specific station.
Define which monitor displays the List and Text areas.
Clinician stations usually have only a single color monitor.
Define which monitor displays the Image area.
This will be the single color monitor.
All changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
