IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Configuring stations > Configuring monitors
When configuring stations, you must define the appropriate calibration for the diagnostic monitors. Choosing the appropriate calibration type and values tells IMPAX how to compensate for the physical monitor's calibration so that images are translated to the screen correctly.
To set the calibration type for diagnostic monitors
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Stations.
or
Or, from the List area bar, click the User ID menu
and select Station Configuration.
If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a single station or station container to change all stations within that container.
In the details pane, expand the General bar.
Switch to the Calibration tab.
From the Type list, select calibration to use:
NEMA—for monitors that are NEMA-calibrated. This is the recommended calibration type.
Gamma—for monitors calibrated to a gamma curve. This calibration type is generally used for older monitors.
If Gamma calibration is selected, select a Gamma Value for each diagnostic monitor, based on advice from the monitor vendor.
The monitors for the station are now calibrated with IMPAX.
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
or
Or, if in the Station configure dialog, click OK.
