While the screen format setting defines how many series are displayed at once on one monitor, the series view mode defines which series are displayed on which monitor. Series view mode applies only when the same studies are displayed on two or more monitors.
To set the default series view mode for each modality (and, optionally, body part), use the Screen Layout tab of the Customize dialog. To change series view mode for the current study, set the Series View Mode tool to one of two states:

To change the series view mode from same series
If necessary, set the study view mode to Span Two Monitors
or to Span All Monitors.
