Disabling the body part setting

When authenticating with a smart card, impersonation is not available.

Many IMPAX features—such as default tool, tool availability, cine viewer defaults, hanging protocols, dictation mode, ERMF, image wizards, and screen layout—vary based on the modality of the studies being read. For an even finer distinction, you can choose to configure IMPAX based on body part as well; for example, CT Head studies could have a different configuration than CT Chest.

If the modality-specific configuration suffices, however, you can disable the body part setting so that it does not appear as an option in dialog boxes.

To disable the body part setting

  1. If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.

  2. Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize.

  3. In the Customize dialog, switch to the User Profile tab.

  4. Under Startup Defaults, select the Disable body part checkbox.

  5. To save the changes and close the Customize dialog, click OK.

Customize and configuration dialogs that previously contained both Modality and Body Part lists now contain only Modality lists.
