Details
The series is not linked because it has a different frame of reference from the source series.
Solution
A series may remain unlinked for any of the following reasons:
The unlinked series may not be of the same view. Axial series are linked only with axials, sagittals are linked only with sagittals, and coronals are linked only with coronals.
The unlinked series is not considered coplanar to the active series because it is not exactly parallel. You can specify an allowance for a series to be considered coplanar with the active series. IMPAX can consider a series coplanar to the active series if it is up to 45 degrees away. Refer to Specify the allowance for linking coplanar series for more information.
The choice of the active series can affect which series are linked together, even when they are of the same view. This behavior is more likely to happen when the allowance for considering series to be coplanar is set to a relatively small angle. When the active series changes, depending on the set of series in the study, a different set of series could be linked.
The unlinked series may have a different frame of reference. A series is not automatically linked to the active series if it has a different frame of reference because IMPAX cannot determine where the images correspond. You can, however, add it manually. Refer to Add a series with a different frame of reference for more information.
Auto Linking can be used to link only volumetric series. To link two or more non-volumetric series, use either manual or cross-study linking.
