When IMPAX links series in Auto Link mode, it excludes series that have a different frame of reference, even if the series is considered coplanar to the active series. You can, however, manually link such a series to the link group.
To add a series with a different frame of reference to an auto link group
From the Image area context or top toolbar, left-click Link Series.
Text appears at the top of each series indicating its link status:

Active series for linking—the highlighted series.

Click to unlink—a linked series.
Click to link—an unlinked series that belongs to the Auto Link group.
3D info does not match active series; Click to link —an unlinked series with a different frame of reference from the active series.

Left-click the series that you want to add to the Auto Link group.
The series has the text "3D info does not match active series; Click to link" and is added to the Auto Link group.
To indicate that you have finished modifying links and to return to regular navigation, left-click Link Series.
