Series are linked together so that they may be navigated together effectively. Manual Link mode enables you to manually select the coplanar series you want to link. In addition, it allows linking of two or more non-volumetric series. Refer to Adding a series with a different frame of reference to an auto link group for more information.
To activate Manual Link mode 
From the Image area context or top toolbar, right-click Link Series.
On the Link Preference menu, select the Manual Link checkbox.
Synchronize each series to be linked by scrolling through the images until they correspond to the same anatomical region.
To manually link series together, left-click Link Series and select the required series.
Note the text changes ("Active series for linking" for the highlighted series and "Click to unlink" for a linked series) and a link icon appears in the top-left corner that indicate the series has been linked.
To have window leveling changes apply to all linked series, enable window leveling across linked series.
To have zooming and panning apply to all linked series, enable zooming and panning across linked series.
Manual Link mode is active for the current and future sessions.
Important!
IMPAX assumes that when you add a series to a link group in Manual Link mode, you intend to link the series at the displayed images. It does not warn you if the table position information of the series does not match.
To deactivate Link Edit mode and return to regular navigation, click Link Series.
 | Note: The localizer series may appear to navigate strangely. This occurs because the first series in an MR study is often the localizer series with images from the different orientations (axial, sagittal, and coronal). Linked series navigate through series of the same orientation. |
