Use the Cine Viewer tab of the Customize dialog to define whether the Cine toolbar is presented horizontally or vertically, and what the default cine mode is: Loop or Rock. This toolbar controls the Cine Viewer, which is used to play back series.
To define the Cine toolbar position and default cine mode
If setting preferences for other users, impersonate the user or role.
Press F12 or, from the Image area top toolbar, click Customize. ![]()
In the Customize dialog, switch to the Cine Viewer tab.
Select the Modality and Body Part (if available) to apply the cine settings to.
On the Cine Settings tab, under Cine Panel Appearance, select the toolbar orientation: Horizontal or Vertical.
The selected orientation is used when the Cine toolbar is floating rather than fixed to the side of the images.
Under Cine Mode, select the direction that the cine plays by default:
Rock plays the series forward, then backward.
Loop replays the cine from the start after reaching the end.
Click Apply.
Repeat steps 4–7 for other modalities and body parts.
To save the changes and close the Customize dialog, click OK.
