Setting aside a patient's studies

While cycling through a list of patients and their studies, you may need more information about a particular study, want to consult a colleague about a study, or have set up the screen layout and window leveling only to be interrupted. In these situations, you can set aside that patient's studies so that you can return to them later.

Setting aside a patient's studies saves all the rotation and flips, navigation point, screen layout, window level, and markups for the study. A set aside patient is removed from the cycle list and placed in a tab at the bottom of the Image area—as though it had been opened directly from a worklist. This keeps the patient open as you turn your attention to other studies, and is available later if you log out and log back in.

To set aside a patient's studies

  1. Next to the cycle control at the bottom-left of the Image area, click Set Aside. Set Aside

IMPAX removes the patient from the cycle list and creates a tab for the patient at the bottom of the Image area (in the example below the set aside patients are SMS,PDI and BEER,JOHN), then cycles to the next patient. The set aside studies are remembered if you log out and are still available in the patient tabs in the Image area when you log back in.

Set aside studies appear in a patient tab

Tip

Tip:

If more patient tabs are open in the bottom navigation bar than can be shown at once, click the More open patient tabs button to select an open patient that is not currently displayed. You must close a set aside study once you are finished with it to remove it from the bottom navigation bar. The navigation bar may be displayed at the top of the Image area.
