IMPAX 6.5.1 Client Knowledge Base: Extended > Administering IMPAX > Configuring worklists
Users can refresh their worklists manually by clicking the Refresh button, but you can also configure IMPAX to automatically update worklists at defined intervals. If the worklist's Auto Cycle button is selected, new studies are automatically cycled as well. (Refer to Cycling studies in a worklist.) Refreshing a worklist can either add or remove studies based on the criteria (for example, added studies can be new, local or remote—in multiple IMPAX cluster configurations—and removed studies might be claimed/assigned),
To update worklists automatically
From the Configure drawer menu
, select Preferences.
or
Or, from the List or Configure area bar, click the User ID menu
and select Preferences.
If in the Configure area, in the navigation pane, select a role or user.
In the details pane, expand the List Area bar.
Switch to the Worklists tab.
Select the Keep my worklists up-to-date with incoming studies checkbox.
In the Check for new studies field, type how many seconds should elapse before the worklist is updated.
The minimum is 60 seconds; however, the more frequently worklists are refreshed, the greater the impact on performance.
![]() | Note: Remote locations are searched at three times the update interval specified. If operating in a multiple IMPAX cluster configuration, a note details how often both local and remote locations are searched for new studies. |
If in the Configure area, the changes are saved automatically when you switch context.
or
If in the Preferences dialog, click OK.
You can also enable a warning beep that sounds when new studies have been added to the worklists after an automatic refresh.
