Troubleshooting: Changing the Image area startup defaults has no effect

Issue

I changed one of the startup defaults in the User Profile tab of the Customize dialog, but the change does not seem to have taken effect.

Details

Certain startup defaults take effect at different points:

• After clicking OK in the Customize dialog—Dock Scout Window, Disable body part, Right mouse click shows text menu, Double click display image full screen, Invert mouse wheel, and Embed windows.

  Note: The "Double click to display image full screen" default is disabled while using some tools, such as Split and Segment.

• After re-cycling or reopening images—Display demographics, Show Available Series, MR use generated series descriptions, CT consistent image orientation presentation, and Display Studies Oldest to Newest.

Solution

To have the second set of startup defaults take effect, do the following.

To have startup defaults take effect on the studies currently being displayed

1. Change the required startup defaults.

2. Close any open studies or clear the cycle list.

3. Reopen the studies or cycle the studies again.

   The selected startup defaults are applied to these studies.
