Solution
Check the following items:
If the station is a lower-end computer, ensure that the option to compress communication with the Application Server is turned off. (Compression is on by default.)
If you have set the Client to compress communication with the Application Server, ensure that Application Server has compression turned on. Refer to "Improving performance by compressing communication with the IMPAX Client" (topic number 11406) in the IMPAX 6.5.1 Application Server Knowledge Base.
Check the protocol the station is using to access the Business Services on the Application Server. Using a protocol such as aspftp increases the performance within the hospital. Refer to Understanding Business Services and Configuring access to images using storage groups.
Check how often worklists are set to automatically refresh for the user or users at these stations. A frequent refresh rate with many worklists displayed, or with larger worklists, can also slow performance.
Check the number of scripting wizards a user has on his or her wizard bar. Having many scripting wizards can often slow performance.
