Configuring access to Business Services

Business Services are the data pipeline that IMPAX Clients on connected stations use to get PACS information. To enforce security and improve performance, you can customize how different groups of stations, which are organized under station containers, access the Business Services. For example, stations outside the hospital can access IMPAX using a specific machine via the https protocol. If you do not change the URLs used to access these Business Services, the system defaults are used. Refer to Understanding Business Services.

Note:

Note:

The URLs for the web services that control logging into the Client cannot be changed: AgfaHC.User.Security.Web.Services/Login.asmx and WindowsAuthentication/Login.asmx.

To configure access to Business Services

  1. From the Configure drawer menu Configure drawer menu, select Stations.

  2. In the navigation pane, select a station container.

Access to Business Services is set for station containers only, not individual stations. Therefore, ensure that you have organized your stations to match how you want the access defined.

  3. In the details pane, expand the General bar.

  4. Switch to the Services Access tab.

  5. In the table, click the URL next to the business service and edit the URL as required. For example:

    protocol://localhost/AgfaHC.pacs.web.services/worklistmetadataservice.ashx

    Note:

    Note:

Business Services are divided into five virtual directories: AgfaHC.Pacs, AgfaHC.RIS, AgfaHC.User, AgfaHC.User.Administration, and AgfaHC.User.Security. All services in one virtual directory must point to the same hostname and use the same protocol.

To use the Instant Messaging feature, you must ensure the Messaging Services URL uses port 443 (https), not port 80 (http).

  6. Edit any other business service URLs, as required.

The changes are saved automatically when you switch context.

  7. Restart any Clients currently using the system so they can use the new URLs.

Until the Clients are restarted, they continue to use the old set of URLs.
